My name is Jean-Antoine and earned a Master in Fine Arts Degree from the New York Academy of Arts, a Degree in Fine Art from the Angel Academy of Art, Florence, Italy. Studied portraiture at the Charles H. Cecil Studios, Florence Italy. I am the Recipient of The David Schafer Portrait Scholarship and I created a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II that is on permanent display at the British Consulate, NYC. I am represented by 107 Bowers Gallery, Jersey City, NJ.
As a student, I always admired teachers who made their topic enjoyable whether I like the subject or not! These professors would bring a subject to life by incarnating their topic with vivid examples. They would made their subject clear and as easy to understand as possible! They would go the extra miles to be available for all the difficulties their students would have to understand the topic. As a Tutor, I apply this approach and do everything to make it a pleasing experience. I use a lesson plan and introduce the topic in a Fun Way, then I explain it thoroughly, breaking down every step of the process, to make it as easy as possible. I always give instruction on homework and personal practice, such as Sketchbooks and personal projects. This way can be tailored to every student's specific needs or Parent requests. I am a Member of the National Tutoring Association, the Portrait Society of America, the Swiss Visual Art Association: VISARTE and Toastmasters International.
